Summary
A group of amputees making a transcontinental bike ride will arrive in Columbia on Thursday. The foursome is riding in 150-mile relays across the United States and visiting hospitals and local amputee groups to help change the perception of amputees. They hope to show the public that amputees also are people who can lead active lifestyles.
This is the seventh year the group, Amputees Across America, has made a cross-country trip. It is the first time the group will stop in Columbia. The public is invited to ride along with the cyclists at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Comfort Suites, 1010 Business Loop 70 W.See the full content of this document
