On a recent visit with Jack Horton, I asked him to write a synopsis of his life as a veterinarian and other interests. His story follows:
"I moved to a farm north of Columbia with my parents in 1947. I graduated from Hickman High School (was a charter member of the Hickman FFA) and the University of Missouri Veterinary School.
