BOONVILLE - Police have closed the criminal investigation of the mother whose baby was found inside a closet, but law enforcement officers in a rural Mississippi county are actively searching for the body of an infant the woman is alleged to have buried there.
Latonya Nichols, 32, is charged in Cooper County Circuit Court with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. She remains in the Cooper County Detention Center, with bond set at $4,750.See the full content of this document
