A business owner's warning last night helped steer the Columbia City Council away from approving an ordinance that might have had unintended consequences.
Mike McClung advised the council at its meeting last night that a proposed ordinance requiring builders to secure a right-of-use permit before building into the public right of way was worded in a way that made it applicable to every encroachment, not just the balconies the ordinance aimed to limit.See the full content of this document
