The Boone County Commission this week named attorney C.J. Dykhouse as the interim county legal counselor, temporarily fulfilling the duties of the late John Patton.
Presiding Commissioner Ken Pearson said the commission approached Dykhouse with the position after the three commissioners discussed the matter among themselves and with other elected county officials.
