As delegates from 192 nations gather in Copenhagen for another try at climate change control, disclosure of e-mails among prominent scientists indicates an effort to quell skepticism about human influences.
The director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England is quitting pending investigation of the release of computer messages obtained by a hacker. The university calls it a criminal breach of its computer information. British climate change economist Nicholas Stern says the disclosure is a distraction and does not change the fact global warming is such a serious problem it must be met with dramatic international commitments in Copenhagen. Deniers like Rush Limbaugh insist this is simply further evidence the entire global warming movement is a hoax, a melange of scare tactics by left-wing extremists to dismantle the capitalist economy.See the full content of this document
