Editor, the Tribune: I was surprised and disappointed to see that the most important issue of our time, and which should have been front page news, was printed at the bottom of Page 11A in the June 22 issue of the Tribune.

I am referring to the article on global warming giving the results of the broad review of scientific work on global warming done by the National Academy of Sciences and requested by Congress. The results of the study were that "recent warmth is unprecedented for at least the last 400 years and potentially the last several millennia" and that "human activities are responsible for much of the recent warming."
