Editor, the Tribune: For years, politicians have been promising to provide a Medicare prescription drug benefit program. With the help of Sen. Jim Talent - finally - the Medicare Part D is a reality. Sen. Talent worked had for this benefit for seniors. He personally held 54 town hall meetings through the state. His office has visited 250 senior centers to assist seniors in signing up for this program.

Sen. Talent has been a leading proponent of the Medicare Part D benefit. He promised he would make it happen, and he did just as he promised.
