Editor, the Tribune: I admit I am not the ultimate football fan because I attend only one game per year but listen to them all. Nevertheless, I am a proud Tigers fan who was disappointed by the Tribune sports writers' unfair condemnation of both our team's performance and the football program after our being outscored by a No. 1-ranked University of Texas team.
Considering my 30 years on the University of Missouri faculty, I must say that the recent Gary Pinkelcoached teams are absolutely fantastic compared to all of the others in my experience. The players and coaches represent our school well, deserve national recognition and the full support of our hometown press.See the full content of this document
