Summary
The Columbia City Council last night endorsed a local group's plan to build a $4 million multi-use facility on city-owned land next to the Activity & Recreation Center.
Under the plan, the Columbia Youth Basketball Association will work with a private firm to raise money to construct the 62,500- square-foot building to house eight basketball courts, meeting rooms and space for other sports such as volleyball.
