Couple Sues Over Police Response to Disturbance

Summary


A husband and wife have filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Columbia and the Columbia Police Department, claiming officers assaulted them and violated their civil rights.

Chris and Paula Lee contend Columbia Officers Nathan Baer and Scott Decker used physical force to improperly enter their William Street home. The lawsuit filed Thursday also names Police Chief Randy Boehm as a defendant.
