Editor, the Tribune: Brendon Steenbergen's recent comments regarding John Marshall's lecture on intelligent design are interesting considering his May 3 Open Column confession that he did not attend the lecture. It is dangerous, and at least unfair, to attribute things to people they did not say and don't believe. A few clarifications for Steenbergen:
He claimed Marshall gave his lecture "no doubt to the embarrassment of his colleagues." This was not the case; in fact, his closest colleagues verbally applauded him at the end.
