Curators Approve Private Equity Investments

Summary


The University of Missouri Board of Curators yesterday unanimously approved a $30 million appropriation from the university's endowment and retirement funds for investment in private equity funds.

The investment, part of a wide portfolio of investments the university has, was approved during the extraordinary session to take advantage of an opportunity from equity firm Warburg Pincus yesterday in Columbia. The meeting was necessary to consider the investment before the firm closes the opportunity Nov. 30.
