JEFFERSON CITY - An effort has stalled in the Missouri Senate to bolster the state's No Call List program by banning telemarketers from dialing up cell phones, sending faxes and using text messaging.

A bill sponsored by Sen. Kevin Engler, R-Farmington, also would block political automated messages - known as "robo-calls" - to people on the state's No Call List.
