Associate Circuit Judge Deborah Daniels granted another continuance yesterday in the domestic assault case against former Missouri tailback Derrick Washington, the fifth time the trial has been reset since November. Washington faces two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault stemming from a September incident with his girlfriend. His next court date was set for June 22.
Washington is scheduled to appear in court June 28 for his separate felony deviate sexual assault case. The felony charge, after an incident with a different female acquaintance last June, ultimately led Washington to be dismissed from the football team three days before the season opener against Illinois.
