The University of Missouri is preparing for potential cuts in state appropriations between $60 million and $100 million, System President Gary Forsee said yesterday afternoon in a letter to faculty, staff and students.
The system received an appropriation of $414.6 million this fiscal year, but last week the Missouri Department of Higher Education asked university presidents to design plans to deal with potential budget cuts of 15 to 25 percent. Forsee said he is working with each of the four UM System campuses to plan a response before next Thursday's deadline.See the full content of this document
