The exhibition represents a cross section of the museum's major collections of art and includes ancient weapons, bronze vessels, jewelry, wood and terra-cotta sculpture, painting, prints and photography. The show runs through Dec. 23.
"Touch Magic ... Visions in Fantasy and Fairytale, The Illustrator's Art for the Books of Jane Yolen" on display in a two- part exhibition on loan from her personal collection. Fifteen illustrations will be on display at Boone County National Bank, Lobby Gallery, 720 E. Broadway, through Dec. 1. A gallery talk is at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 28. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Fifteen more illustrations displayed with the books in which they are featured on display at the University of Missouri-Columbia Ellis Library Colonnade through Dec. 2. A gallery talk will be given at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.
