A request for commercial zoning on the site of Great Hangups Framing and three nearby properties at West Boulevard and West Broadway will come before the Columbia City Council tonight for its second vote in less than a year.
The proposal has been the cause of a two-year fight between the property owners and neighborhood residents. Property owners Mark Nichols and Patti Mierzwa have applied to rezone the corner from its current residential designation and intend to sell the property to a developer.
