Judge Denies Higher Bond in Deadly Crash

Summary


A Boone County judge decided yesterday not to increase the bond of a Kansas City-area man accused of being under the influence of marijuana, cocaine and prescription drugs at the time of a deadly wreck on Interstate 70 last month.

Prosecutors had sought to increase the bond for William C. Downs, 33, of Liberty, who is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance involving a Feb. 22 wreck that killed Charles D. Fulhage, 61, of Rocheport.
