JEFFERSON CITY -- State Rep. Chris Kelly, D-Columbia, has filed economic stimulus legislation of his own -- a $700 million plan to sell state bonds to finance construction on college campuses.
Kelly said his proposal would create jobs as soon as the bonds could be sold and construction begins. The money would help fund some projects on public university and community college campuses that would have otherwise been built with money from the sale of student loan assets.See the full content of this document
