In preliminary budget projections, Columbia Public Schools is planning on receiving less of an increase in revenue from property taxes next year than it received last year.
A slowdown in new construction and fewer people buying new vehicles has led school officials to use the informed prediction that tax receipts will rise but will be $446,000 less than last year's increase.
