Editor, the Tribune: I would like to address some crucial missed points from the article about the Youth March for Peace. I was one of the marchers; I am 16 years old and feel very strongly about current events, such as the atrocious and unnecessary war the current administration has entered. Many of the quotes in the article were from the four counter-demonstrators. These quotes were petty and misinformed.
It is a common misconception that people in favor of peace are anti-soldier. This is not true. I believe war should be avoided at all costs. This in no way makes me demonize soldiers. I do not oppose people who feel it is their duty to support their country in the military; I oppose the act of war. The best way to show support for soldiers is not to oppose a peace demonstration; it is to aid the veterans upon their return.See the full content of this document
