Editor, the Tribune: In a recent editorial, Hank Waters appropriately alluded to Tom Atkins as "selfless and savvy."

There are two more Columbians who merit those superlative: Bob McDavid and Fred Parry. Through their tireless efforts to fix the problems of the flawed BJC lease, McDavid and Parry, as members of the Boone Hospital Center Board of Trustees, are primarily responsible for obtaining concessions from BJC that will save the county on the order of $100 million.
