Meth Lab Linked to Chase Involving Helicopter, Dog

Summary


Two Columbia men were arrested early today after an hourlong chase through muddy fields in east Boone County that authorities say began when the suspects tried to hide a mobile meth lab.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the chase began at about 12:10 a.m. near a construction site at Route WW near Rangeline Road. Later, state troopers, Ashland police and Boone County sheriff's deputies, all on foot, found a vehicle in a field "attempting to hide from law enforcement," according to a sheriff's department news release.
