Editor, the Tribune: I am writing to correct statements made in the letter from a Hallsville High School student that was published on Feb. 16.

Contrary to the statement made in the letter, the "Mind The Gap" project would not use any taxpayer dollars. The Tribune not only failed to edit the student letter for accuracy before publishing; it compounded the error by adding the headline "Program might not be best use of taxpayers' money."
