Moped Rider Injured in Hit-and-Run Wreck

Summary


A moped rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries after he was struck Friday night by an allegedly intoxicated motorist.

At about 10:25 p.m. Friday, Columbia police said, the moped rider was northbound on Garth Avenue when a car sideswiped the moped near Oak Street. The car did not stop after the collision, Columbia police said in a news release.
