Nalichniki. This Russian word means "house faces" and rolls off my tongue much like, well, the word supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
It describes one of my favorite things in Russia and what I think of as one of the most beautiful things in Russia. These ornately carved window frames truly seem to give a house a "face."
