After nearly 30 years as the most recognizable show on KOMU-TV, "Pepper & Friends" will leave the air Sept. 18.
It's a cost-cutting move, said station manager Marty Siddall, and a heart-rending one for many long-term listeners and, well, friends. The show still had sponsors but apparently lost money. Other factors, such as audience demographic appeal, might have played a part in the decision.
