After months of deliberation, the Columbia Public Schools policy committee has decided on a proposed update for its student/staff relations policy -- one that does not mention online social networking.
The committee struggled with the idea of forbidding interactions between students and staff on websites such as Facebook, a policy update the Missouri School Boards' Association has recommended. But instead, it will ask the Columbia Board of Education to approve a general policy at tomorrow's meeting that doesn't mention social networking.See the full content of this document
