Helias Athletic Director Stan Ochsner might just be on to something.
According to a Thursday story in the Jefferson City News Tribune, Ochsner plans to implement a nine-day "dead period" during the summer for all Helias athletes. From June 28-July 6, athletic facilities at the school will be closed and no contact will be allowed between coaches and athletes.See the full content of this document

Ochsner initially discovered this bright idea after a conversation he had during the summer with the mother of an incoming Helias freshman who plays three sports.
