In recent years MU has been converting this expanse on Providence Road across from Memorial Stadium to uses other than mere open space for game day parkers and revelers. The lot has been paved and usually serves as parking for students. The area is destined for continuing business-related development. Meanwhile, on game day it has converts to what many call the Party Cove of MU football, meaning it's home to a wild and woolly tailgate party featuring many underage drinkers who never go near the stadium.
