Organizations and churches are busy at this time of year preparing for their bazaars. The kickoff for these shopping events was the King's Daughters Holiday Festival this past weekend. Besides the various chapters doing their own things, the Columbia Tribune hosted the final tasting for their recipe contest. This year the entrants chose their favorite chocolate recipes. You could almost smell and taste these entries as they were submitted by mail or online. Next week the Tribune will print the winning recipes.

My brother, sister and I developed our love of chocolate when we were growing up. We lived with our grandparents in those early years.
