Police Respond to Student Threat On Myspace Posting

A Pilot Grove High School student was taken into custody after administrators discovered an audio rap song posted on his MySpace page that threatened to rape and kill a teacher in the school district.

Some fellow students heard the rap and reported it to school administrators, Superintendent Mark Pottorff said. He confirmed the threats but declined to discuss specifics because of student privacy issues. After an internal investigation of the student's online account, districts administrators turned it over to the Pilot Grove Police Department.
