Summary


A redevelopment request that was denied by the Columbia Planning and Zoning Commission in 2005 on grounds that it was too dense came back before the panel Thursday night slightly denser and won approval.

Justin and Russell Starr, owners of Rock Quarry Properties LLC, want to rezone approximately 5.5 acres of agriculture zoned land along Rock Quarry Road to planned residential. The plan is to build 40 four-bedroom attached townhouses that would be designed across five eight-unit buildings and would be marketed to college students.
