TOLEDO, Ohio - Recycling some campaign standbys while also introducing fresh ideas, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama rolled out a sweeping plan for jump-starting the U.S. economy yesterday, saying he hopes to get it implemented as soon as possible.
The plan would rewrite the U.S. response to the economic turmoil swamping the nation even as the stock market showed historic gains yesterday, with Obama promising immediate tax relief for families making less than $150,000 a year, a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures by any financial institution being bailed out by the government and penalty-free hardship withdrawals from retirement accounts.See the full content of this document
