The Special Business District yesterday endorsed the city of Columbia's application for federal funds that would be used to audit and retrofit privately owned buildings downtown.
The city is asking for $500,000 through the Green Streets program, one of four programs being funded through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Energize Missouri Communities grant project.
