The state's unemployment rate fell by two-tenths of a percent to 9.3 percent in October.
This is the second month this year in which the total employment number rose, according to the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Last month, total nonfarm payroll employment reached 2,714,500, up by about 4,000 jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis.
