Summary
In recent years, the face of Columbia hip-hop has been Steddy P. Steddy P, also known as Ray Pierce, has used the platforms available to him -- his microphone and his Indyground Entertainment label -- to take both the music and mindset of Missouri to the masses. The 2006 MU graduate now lives in the Kansas City area, but his presence is still felt in the local scene he worked so hard to further.
"Style Like Mind," the artist's fourth LP, drops this week -- the album was produced by St. Louis' Ben Bounce and "overseen" by frequent collaborator DJ Mahf. In an August interview with Lawrence.com, the MC said the record was his attempt to create a truly "complete disc" in every area -- "storytelling, styles, delivery." Steddy P also told Lawrence.com that "Style Like Mind" reflects both a confidence and comfort in his sound and a willingness to experiment.See the full content of this document
