In her Republican primary bid for governor, state Treasurer Sarah Steelman this week unveiled an ethics proposal that, among other things, specifically targets lawmakers such as House Speaker Rod Jetton who also serve as political consultants.
Jetton, a term-limited Republican from Marble Hill, has drawn criticism for working as a political consultant while holding public office. Jetton has signed up to work on campaigns for several state lawmakers this election cycle, including the congressional run of state Rep.
