When I read in the Tribune that the University of Missouri School of Journalism made an arrangement with the Beijing Olympics organizing committee for students to work at the 2008 Summer Olympics while studying abroad, I wished I was a few years younger and hadn't attended a different MU. I went to Marquette.

Even though I'm not eligible to be part of the contingent of journalism students working for the Olympic News Service, I'm able to experience the job vicariously because several of the students in Beijing are documenting their experiences with videos, photos and blog posts.
