Editor, the Tribune: On the heels of Jim Talent's endorsements from the Missouri Corn Growers Association, the Missouri Soybean Association, the Missouri Pork Association, the Missouri Dairy Association and the Missouri Cattlemen's Association, I'm reminded of a couple of points I think are worth repeating.

Jim Talent isn't the type to seek publicity for the sake of publicity. He's a nuts-and-bolts kind of senator who rolls up his sleeves and gets the job done. He's fulfilled his campaign promises by standing up for agriculture and by seeking and winning a seat on the influential Senate Agriculture Committee. That's the kind of person we need working for Missouri agriculture.
