Theater Settles Some Debts, Names Leader

Summary


The Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts has appointed Kanani May as interim executive director and has announced a partial settlement of payments owed to contractors for the theater's $10 million restoration.

Executive Director David White resigned Monday. Neither he nor MTCA board members attributed White's departure to legal issues surrounding the debt to contractors. Four contractors had filed mechanic's liens against the theater to force payment. That litigation has ended as a result of settlement agreements with the contractors.
